J.Kim's First Swimwear Collection
Introducing "Chilla," J.Kim's inaugural swimwear and beachwear capsule collection. Inspired by Uzbekistan's scorching heatwave, this line embodies the essence of carefree adolescence and the diminishing sense of unrestricted freedom.
Recognizing the evolving perspectives on body coverage in public spaces, the collection strikes a balance that respects these changing opinions.
Drawing inspiration from the 1966 film "Tenderness," directed by Elyor Ishmukhamedov, J. Kim seamlessly weaves fashion and storytelling together. The bikinis, tankinis, and one-pieces showcase the brand's signature petal cutouts or playful slits and knots, all meticulously crafted from recycled materials adhering to the Global Recycle Standard.
To cater to the demands of urban versatility, the collection introduces combination pieces featuring mesh outer layers. This innovative design covers swimwear and underwear while maintaining a lightweight feel, aligning with Uzbekistan's cultural inclination toward modest dressing.
The influence of "Tenderness" is evident in the collection's mesh polo dresses, gauze button-front shirts, gauze-panelled pants, cover-ups, and ivory-coloured J. Kim Bale bag and the organza tote are complementary accessories, infusing beach-inspired elements and paying homage to the brand's heritage.
